The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is one of the most prestigious national-level engineering entrance exams in India, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the gateway to 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. Institutions like NIT Trichy and NIT Surathkal consistently rank among the top 10 engineering colleges in India, with NIT Trichy holding the #9 spot in the NIRF 2024 rankings. JEE Main is also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. The exam is tentatively scheduled in January and April 2027.

Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TS EAPCET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE. It is the key to securing admission in engineering colleges across Telangana, including JNTU Hyderabad and Osmania University. JNTU Hyderabad, in particular, has a strong regional reputation and is ranked #76 in NIRF Engineering 2024. TS EAPCET 2027 is expected in May 2027.

The Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) is conducted by COMEDK, the consortium of private medical, engineering and dental colleges of Karnataka. A single test carries a student to admission across the consortium's member engineering colleges in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru and the rest of the state, so it is the widest single route into private engineering education in Karnataka. COMEDK UGET 2027 is expected to be held in May 2027.

The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test is conducted by JNTU Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. It is the state entrance test for admission into engineering, agriculture and pharmacy programmes at universities and colleges across Andhra Pradesh, and it is the route students take to the state's own quota of seats. AP EAMCET 2027 is expected to be held in May 2027.

MET is run in phases, and the 2027 phases are expected across April and May 2027.
